Privacy Policy

1.1 Automatically Collected Device Information

When you use the App, we automatically collect limited technical information necessary for app functionality and stability:

• Device Identifier (UUID): A randomly generated identifier stored securely on your device. It is used to maintain app functionality and link your data across sessions.
• Platform: iOS or Android
• Operating System Version
• App Version
• App Update Information: Information related to the currently running app build or update

This information is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

1.2 User-Provided Information

You may optionally provide the following information during onboarding or in settings:

• Language Preference
• Gender Preference (used only for content personalization)
• Current Reading Volume Range

1.3 Location Data

With your permission, the App accesses your device's location to calculate the start time of the Last Third of the Night, which is derived from your local sunset and sunrise times.

• Location data is used only on-device to perform this calculation
• Location data is never stored, transmitted, or shared
• You may deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device settings; this will disable the Last Third of the Night feature

1.4 Prayer and Usage Data

To provide core app functionality, the App stores:

• Prayer activity dates
• Quran recitation ranges
• Timestamps related to prayer logs

This data is used exclusively to support your personal prayer tracking experience.

1.5 Feedback Data

If you submit feedback through the App, we collect:

• Feedback text
• Basic technical context (such as app version and operating system) to help diagnose issues

Feedback data may be retained in anonymized form after deletion of your account.

1.6 Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use third-party services to improve stability and user experience:

• Crash Reporting: Collects anonymized crash logs and performance data
• Usage Analytics: Collects aggregated and anonymized interaction data

These services do not collect data for advertising or user tracking.

3.1 Local Storage

• App data is stored locally on your device
• Secure identifiers are stored using platform-provided secure storage
• Local databases are used to support offline functionality

3.2 Cloud Syncing

• Data is stored on secure servers located in the European Union
• Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
• Access is restricted to your account or device

3.3 Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted service providers to operate the App:

• Backend & Authentication: Supabase
• Crash Reporting: Sentry
• Analytics: Vexo Analytics

These providers process data only on our behalf and under contractual data protection obligations.

5.1 Access and Updates

You can view and update your preferences directly in the App.

5.2 Delete Your Data

You can permanently delete your data at any time using the "Delete and Clear My Data" option in the App.

When you do so:

• All locally stored data is deleted from your device
• Your cloud-stored user record is permanently deleted
• Previously synced activity records (such as prayer logs or feedback) are automatically disassociated from your identity and retained only in an anonymized, non-identifiable form
• Anonymized data cannot be used to identify you and is not considered personal data

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

5.3 Opt-Out Options

• You may uninstall the App to remove all local data
• Analytics and crash reporting are used only for app improvement and do not involve tracking

Apple App Store

• Data Linked to You: app preferences, prayer data, location (used on-device only)
• Data Not Linked to You: Crash data, usage analytics
• Tracking: Not used

Google Play Data Safety

• Data Collected: App activity, optional personal information, device identifiers, approximate location (used on-device only)
• Data Usage: App functionality and improvement
• Deletion: Available through in-app controls
• Security: Data encrypted in transit
